A great start for building a new university: Mariupol State University signed a memorandum of cooperation with a leading Lithuanian Universi

MSU continues to develop partnerships with HEIs of Europe.

On April 4, representatives of Mariupol State University joined the meeting of the Rectorate of Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania) online. During the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the two universities.

 

Rector of MSU, Professor Mykola Trofymenko and Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Affairs (International Cooperation), Professor Olena Pavlenko took part in the signing.


 

I am happy that today we are creating cooperation and opening up new opportunities for the two universities. I hope that this memorandum of partnership will be the start of many fruitful projects and will be a good start for building a completely new Mariupol University. We use the best European practices and experience of one of the best Higher Education Institution in Lithuania and Europe – Vytautas Magnus University

Among the capital tasks of cooperation is the development in the Educational, Scientific and Innovative Domains. The memorandum considers the development of a Double Degree program, participation in academic mobility programs, exchange of experience in areas of mutual interest, and joint educational and scientific Events.

 

Vytautas Magnus University and Mariupol State University has many years of experience in friendly relations. Lithuanian colleagues actively help lecturers of Mariupol University in working on Innovative Educational projects and grants. The result of fruitful cooperation between the two universities was the successfully implemented International Project Erasmus+ “Regional Studies Rethinking : Baltic-Black Sea Connection”.


 

Many thanks to our Lithuanian colleagues for their help and for being with us during this difficult time. I hope that we will contribute to the victory of Ukraine in the war with Russia on the information and educational front,
