On October 29, the premiere of the student eco-play "Il cestino dimenticato" ("Forgotten Litter Bin") based on the play by Franco Zaffanelli took place in Mariupol State University as part of the XIX Week of the Italian language in the world.
The event was prepared by students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, who study Italian, under the guidance of teachers of the Department of Italian Philology Taisiya Poklad and Alina Grachyova.
The actors were Olga Kolodyazhna, Oleksandra Kryukova, Vladyslav Radchenko, Sergii Rashevsky, Larisa-Radomyra Lomakina, Anastasia Yancheva, Olena Ivleva, Yulia Suhak, Polina Shchekochykhina and Kristina Bagayeva. The musical accompaniment was provided by Mykhailo Savin.
The characters of the story called the audience to be responsible for the preservation of a clean environment and emphasized the necessity to sort garbage. Students noted that sometimes it is enough to make a little effort to make the environment look more neat and well-groomed.
In addition to students and faculty teaches, parents and friends of the student actors, the premiere of the play was attended by the First Secretary, the Desk Officer of Foreign and Security Policy of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine Daniel Ricco, who came to the Investment forum "Re: Think Invest in Ukraine".
Mr Ricco said he had Italian roots, and therefore became interested in this cultural event. He noted that, thanks to the MSU students, he for some time seemed to have returned to Italy. The diplomat was surprised by the fact that Italian is popular in Mariupol, and at the university it has been taught at a high level as the first, second and third foreign language for more than 10 years.
