Academic honesty: MSU teachers underwent internship in Warsaw

Mariupol State University teachers took part in the internship for teachers "Academic honesty: challenges of modernity", which was held from 22 to 25 October at the University of Сardinal Stefan Wyszynski in Warsaw. The trip was financially supported by the ADD Foundation and the Polish-Ukrainian Institute of international Academic and Scientific Cooperation Foundation (IIASC).

The head of the Mathematical Methods and System Analysis Department, Professor Tatyana Shabelnyk, Associate Professor of the Management Department of Maryna Gorbashevska, Associate professors of the Pedagogics and Education Department Maryna Netreba and Iryna Tymofeyeva went to Warsaw.


The internship was aimed at familiarizing with European approaches to solving the problem of scientific plagiarism and promoting academic honesty as well as improving the skills of teachers and deepening cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in the academic and scientific fields.


MSU teachers took part in the scientific round table "Prevention of plagiarism in the educational and scientific environment. Software tools to identify possible plagiarism in scientific and academic works", which was conducted by Polish experts of the Plagiat.PL company and in the briefing on the topic "Overview of the main legal and organizational aspects of training in Poland".


Within the framework of the internship program, the teachers also visited higher education institutions in Warsaw, in particular one of the best universities in Poland – Leon Kozminski Academy.


Upon completion of the internship, the participants received certificates.
