For a second time Vira Khorovets, professor of the Theory and Practice of Translation Department of Mariupol State University was an interpreter of representatives of the Election Observation Mission to the OSCE Office of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.

During the extraordinary elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, OSCE observers Merrill Anne Mary from the United States and Onno van der Windt from the Netherlands, along with the professor of MSU, visited about ten polling stations and one of the district election boards in Mariupol. Their duties included monitoring of observance of all legislative norms during voting and transportation of ballots to the district election board, as well as monitoring the establishment of the results of voting, compiling protocols on the results of voting and their transfer to the Central Election Commission.
 

Professors of the Theory and Practice of Translation Department of MSU regularly improve their translation skills, working with representatives of the OSCE, the UN and local public organizations.
