American businessman Ruslan Shalayev attended the second October meeting of the international student group "Encounters" at the Faculty of Greek Philology and Translation of Mariupol State University.

The invited guest is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton and CEO of the successful companies "Vesedia" and "iHub MD" in Connecticut. Ruslan Shalayev shared his experience and knowledge with students of such majors as "Translation (English)", "International relations" and "International economic relations".

During the meeting, the businessman told how to find a target audience for a start-up, develop a business project, and shared his experience of running business, in which he has been working for more than 15 years. The students listened with interest, asked questions, told about their own achievements in the field of entrepreneurship. Among other things, the participants learned a lot of new English economic vocabulary.

The MSU Theory and Practice of Translation Department has been maintaining business relations with Ruslan Shalayev for many years. As a result, on the basis of the agreement on cooperation, the students have an opportunity to do an internship and have a perspective for future employment.

The group "Encounters" works under the guidance of Associate Professor of Theory and Practice of Translation Department Olena Peftiyeva; meetings are held once a month.
