"Food In Italy is a synonym for culture, traditions and love": the World Week of Italian Cuisine continues in MSU

Mariupol State University continues the II Week of Italian Cuisine in the world, organized by the Italian Cultural Center. On November 23d, the Faculty of Greek Philology and the Translation hosted the presentations "The Secrets of Italian Cuisine" by Vladislava Terekhova and Karina Parkhomenko, Master students majoring inTranslation (Italian). The event was attended by students majoring in Language and Literature (Italian) and International Relations.

During the presentation, students told about the types of pasta, dishes made of it and the famous Italian pasta producers. Girls has been to Italy (in Siena and Reggio Calabria), so they know from their personal experience how does Italian cuisine like. After finishing the report, the girls held a quiz, which contained questions concerned with the types of pasta and its history.

This day a mind fight game on The Art of Italian Cuisine containing 50 questions with multiple choice answers. The aim of a mind fight game is to expand the horizons and to demonstrate students not only well-known products but also completely new ones. Students were divided into two teams "Pizza" and "Pasta", this way getting ready to pass the Italian cuisine test. Team "Pasta" won the game and its members were awarded stationery items and sweets.

"Food in Italy is more than just recipes, it is a synonym for culture, traditions and love," said Ella Kumurzhy, Director of the Italian Cultural Center of Mariupol State University, summarizing the results of the event.
