Students of the preparatory department of Mariupol State University were able to enjoy Ukrainian cuisine by visiting one of the thematic restaurants of the city.
The event was organized by the International Relations Office and Center for Pre-University Training and Work with Foreign Students in order to facilitate language and cultural adaptation of foreign students studying at the university.
First, students studied names of types of food and products at their lessons. This event allowed them to apply this knowledge and at the same time get acquainted with Ukrainian gastronomic traditions having tasted traditional dishes of national cuisine.
Foreign students liked borsch, varenyky and syrniky most of all. Students have expressed a desire to prepare national Ukrainian dishes in the future at the dormitory.
