On 7 April, Mariupol State University joined the first online training workshop of the Erasmus+ project "International Students Adaptation and Integration". The university project team was represented by members of the international relations office, headed by Lidiia Shevchenko, head of the office.

The project brought together educational institutions and enterprises from Ukraine, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Lithuania. It aims to integrate international students into the Ukrainian and European educational space through cultural, ethnic, social and academic values. The event was organised by Hultgren Nachhaltigkeitsberatung UG (Germany).

During the workshop, Oliver Schmidt, start-up consultant and innovation manager at Freie Universität Berlin, discussed with participants the main challenges of the coronavirus pandemic and their impact on internationalisation processes in higher education. The speaker talked about the specifics of developing an internationalisation strategy and the resources needed to implement it.

Participants were also presented with new ways of motivating international students to study and mechanisms for marketing methods to promote educational opportunities in a qualitative way.
