International Students Adaptation and Integration: MSU educators told of Lithuanian best practices

On 14 April, Erasmus + International Students Adaptation and Integration project held its second online training workshop «International students admission and integration practices of Mykolas Romeris University". 

Mariupol State University was represented in the project by its Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor Olena Pavlenko, and international relations office staff led by the head of the office, Lidiia Shevchenko.


The project brought together educational institutions and enterprises from Ukraine, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Lithuania. Its aim is to integrate international students into the Ukrainian and European educational space through cultural, ethnic, social and academic values.


More than 50 participants from higher education institutions in the EU and Ukraine joined the online workshop. Representatives of Mikolas Romeris University (Lithuania) presented best practices on international student recruitment strategies, pre-arrival preparations and guidance services to admitted international students. The Lithuanian educators also shared their experience in organising activities for the integration of foreign nationals after their arrival and orientation work before the graduation of future specialists from the educational institution.
