"Mariupol Space for Peace": project participants got familiarized with the religious variety of Pryazovia

On September 28, at the premises of the Illich Iron & Steel Works Museum of History the third dialogue meeting within the framework of the "Mariupol Space for Peace" Project took place. The event was held in the human library format "Religious Variety of Pryazovia".

The "Mariupol Space for Peace" Project is being implemented by the Student Scientific Historical and Archaeological Society of Mariupol State University in partnership with the NGO "Initiatives platform "Move", sponsored by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, through the UNDP Peacebuilding and Reconstruction Program in Ukraine.

Participants of the project got acquainted with the religious diversity of the Pryazovia during communication with the members of the Orthodox Church, Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Muslims, and Hare Krishna followers. Alice Rostovtseva, Isydor Badasen, Anton Guz, Sahiba Mammadova, Anatoly Kseniti, Madhava Krishna Prabhu were "living books".

At the end of the meeting, the participants shared their impressions about what they heard and noted that they had not had time to ask all the questions. This proves that the topic of religion is quite relevant for the people of the Pryazovia.

The next interactive meeting under the "Mariupol Space for Peace" Project is scheduled for October 6.
