"Meeting of Central Europe representatives": MSU teachers and students attended seminar in Germany

Students of the Faculty of the Foreign Languages of Mariupol State University Maria Reutska, Oryna Nikitina, Daria Kazhan, Natalia Kudrya and Kateryna Tkachova together with teachers of the German and French Philology Department Yulia Kazhan and Maryna Marchenko visited the Academy for Cooperation with Central Europe in Bad Kissingen (Germany).

The University team took part in the international seminar "Meeting of Central Europe representatives", during which they discussed issues related to the history and culture of Germany, in particular, the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the history of the Germans in Ukraine, the prospects of learning German in Eastern Europe. The seminar was attended by representatives of universities of the Czech Republic, Romania and Ukraine.

As part of the trip, the teachers and students studying German visited other cities in Germany:

Frankfurt, Würzburg and Bamberg. In my opinion, such events are an opportunity not only to see how the country, the language of which you are learning, lives, to hear its speakers talk, and to spend an unforgettable time in good company, but to get an unforgettable experience as well. We had an opportunity to learn what influence German figures had on the culture and politics of other countries, what were the causes and consequences of the construction of the Berlin Wall and to hear different opinions on this topic from people from different countries. During the seminars, we were also able to improve our oral speech,

We spent almost a week in a German-speaking environment. I received a lot of new information at the seminars, and also had an opportunity to visit the exhibition "Judisches Leben in Bad Kissingen" and the concert of the orchestra, and in my spare time to go to other cities: Bamberg, Nuremberg, and Würzburg. I am delighted with the trip to Bad Kissingen!

Last year, as part of MSU's cooperation with the Academy for Cooperation with Central Europe, two groups of the university students already participated in similar seminars in Germany. The next trip is planned in the spring of 2020.
