MSU associate professors Yulia Fedorova and Natalia Voyevutko took part in the conference at the University of Athens

Teachers of the Faculty of the Foreign Languages of Mariupol State University took part in the XII conference "Modern Greek Language And Terminology" held from November 7 to November 9 at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

The scientific event was aimed at considering the current state of terminology in the Modern Greek language for the qualitative enrichment of science. The discussion was joined by a.i. Head of the English Philology Department, associate professor Julia Fedorova and associate professor of Pedagogics and Education Department Natalia Voyevutko, who was invited to the presidium of the conference.

MSU philologists prepared a report "Anti-discrimination examination of school textbooks: problems of terminology", which was included in the conference proceedings.

I carried out anti-discrimination examination of draft textbooks for the MES of Ukraine, and it was important to test the results of my research, to see how the masters and legislators in the field of Greek terminology will esteem its preliminary results. My colleague and I were glad that our report caused a lively discussion and reflection of many participants, because it contributed to the emergence of new ideas and directions of research. We have heard positive feedback not only by venerable professors, but also novice scientists who first heard about the problem,

– Natalia Voyevutko.

The conference "Modern Greek Language And Terminology" is held every two years under the aegis of the President of the Hellenic Republic and with the support of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religion of Greece. The event is organized by the leading universities and research institutions of Greece and Cyprus.
