Mariupol State University announced the results of the competition for creative works «Larnaca is a landmark of Cyprus».

The competition is held every year on the initiative of the Tourism Development Organization of Larnaca (Cyprus), the Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Cyprus in Mariupol and MSU. Its goal is the formation in young people the skills of using information technologies, the promotion of independent thinking and creative activity, the development of ingenuity in the preparation of printed and electronic products, as well as the creation of a single informational space between Mariupol and Larnaca.

As a result of the competition, Alyona Afonina, a third-year-student of the major «Philology. Translation and Interpreting (Modern Greek)», who wrote a poem about Larnaca in Modern Greek took the I place, her group Marina Alekseyenko, her groupmate who made a handmade commemorative card about Larnaca, took the II place. The III place was taken by Yana Shkurat («Philology. Language and Literature (Modern Greek)») and Liliya Solyanyk («Secondary education. Language and Literature (Modern Greek)») who created a bright poster.

Evelina Ryabchenko, Professor of Greek Philology and Translation Department awarded students with certificates and valuable prizes.
