MSU has participated in International Relations Office of University: Best Practices program organized by the British Council in Ukraine

The British Council in Ukraine organized the training titled “International Relations Office of University: Best Practices” for heads and staff of international relation offices/centers of Ukrainian higher education institutions. Mariupol State University was represented by Lidiia Naidonova, Head of International Relations Department.

The program was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and focused on professional development and competence development among representatives of international relations offices of Ukrainian universities. The trainers were leading experts from prestigious British universities: Gilian Olivieri and James Kennedy from the University of Warwick and Stefanie Sandford from Coventry University.

The program was conducted in four cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Lviv and consisted of 2 modules. The first module was conducted in October 2016, and the second one in February 2017. The training was conducted in English without translation, therefore a prerequisite for participation was B2 English language proficiency level and above.

Trainings included the discussions on duties, functions, structure of the international relations offices, recruitment, integration and cooperation with other offices, communication and marketing strategies, branding, and mechanisms of development of international relations. The participants also learned about the stages of designing a website for university and the effective use of social networks; studied the ways of attracting funding and manage the funds received within the framework of national, international (Erasmus +, Horizon 2020), corporate and charity programs.

Upon the completion of the program, the participants were given certificates by the British Council in Ukraine.
