MSU Has Signed an Agreement on Cooperation and Implementation of a Double Degree Program with a Polish University

On January 21 Rector of Mariupol State University, Professor Kostyantyn Balabanov held a meeting with Rector of Kazimierz Pułaski University of Technology and Humanities in Radom (Poland), Professor Zbigniew Łukasik. The meeting was initiated by Consul General of Poland to Donetsk Jakub Wołąsiewicz.

The visit of the Polish Rector to MSU was aimed at signing a cooperation agreement between the Universities. The parties discussed the prospects of developing inter-university cooperation in the field of education and science.

The terms of the agreement stipulate joint arrangement of scientific seminars and conferences, bilateral student and academic staff exchange, as well as cooperation in the field of PhD and ScD research.

The most important article of the agreement provides for the development and implementation of the double degree program. It is noteworthy that Kazimierz Pułaski University of Technology and Humanities is not the first Polish university that develops cooperation in this field with MSU. A double degree program is currently being successfully implemented in joint effort with Polonia University in Czestochowa. Two MSU students (Daria Batychko and Mykhailo Moroz) majoring in International Economics are completing their second year of studies there. Similar agreements have been signed with Higher Linguistic School in Częstochowa.
