Students from Mariupol State University took part in the inter-university Olympiad in Management, which was held in an online format. This year, for the first time, the intellectual competition gained international status and brought Ukraine and Belarus together.

More than 20 students from MSU, the Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives and Francysk Skaryna Homieĺ State University competed for the title of winner.

The MSU team was represented by management students Heorhii Alieksieiev, Yuliia Bodalova, Liudmyla Belinska, Anastasiia Kolesnikova, Yehor Tsymbaliuk, Mykhailo Shvedun, Oleksandr Kovalenko and Hanna Shulkevych. Young people prepared for the test and creative tasks under the guidance of Assistant Professors of Management Viktoriia Matsuka and Fedir Perepadia.

The Olympiad was held in two stages: a theoretical stage aimed at testing the basic knowledge of the discipline, and a practical stage which consisted of solving production cases. The winners were determined in the individual competition according to the maximum number of points scored.

The results of the inter-university Olympiad in Management awarded first place to third-year student Yehor Tsymbaliuk. Diplomas for original solutions to case problems were awarded to fourth-year student Oleksandr Kovalenko and third-year student Heorhii Alieksieiev.

I was lucky enough to take part in the Olympiad, although it was not the first time - I had already had such an experience when I was at school. I found the “Ostrov” case and the tests interesting to solve. The thorough training during the two and a half years of university helped a lot. I believe that faith, effort and the knowledge gained at MSU were the key to victory.
