MSU students became participants of the Winter Political School in Estoni

Students of Mariupol State University majoring in "International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies" and a graduate student majoring in "Political Studies" took part in the Winter Political School at the University of Tartu "Between the Baltic and the Black Seas". From 9 February to 15 February the youth was in the Kiryak.

The school is implemented under the Erasmus + program "Rethinking Regional Studies: Baltic-Black Sea Connection".


Victoria Senatosenko, Anastasia Kucherenko, Valeria Burda, Daria Alekseeva and Vladislav Klyus went from Mariupol State University to Estonia. In addition to students of Mariupol University, the participants from the international curriculum were students from Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and the University of Tartu.


The educational process consisted of lectures and interactive classes, in particular, presentations and group discussions. Future specialists on international affairs and politologists discussed issues of memory policy and memory wars, ontological security in international relations, development of plans for resolving the conflict in eastern Ukraine, security of the Black Sea region. Among other things, the participants touched on topics related to bioenergy, biopolitics and performative populism in Eastern Europe and the Baltics.


During their studies, students were able to improve their communication, teamwork, networking, public speaking and foreign language perception skills. The young people plan to use the gained experience when writing scientific papers and conducting seminars.


According to the results of the Winter Political School, students received certificates of the participants in the international curriculum.
