MSU students had a conversation with English speakers from the United States and Norway

The Department of Theory and Practice of Translation of Mariupol State University held a meeting of the Encounters Club, which usually hosts visits of English speakers. This time, Daven Jorman (USA, Utah) and Thomas Peterson (Norway, Oslo) visited Mariupol State University. They met with the faculty and students majoring in Translation (English) and International Economics.

Dave Jorman spoke about Utah's cultural traditions and features of American slang. Thomas Peterson paid attention to the Norwegian language, taught students Norwegian greetings and described the peculiarities of Norwegian language spelling and pronunciation. Students asked guests about family traditions, the education system in the United States and Norway, and their experience of traveling around Europe.

Encounters Club invites everyone to develop their English proficiency skills. For detailed information, please contact the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation at Mariupol State University by calling this number (0629) 52-70-16.
