On July 11, representatives of the US Embassy in Ukraine and USAID paid a visit to Mariupol State University. Stephen Hadley and Benjamin Long met First Vice Rector of Mariupol State University, Professor Olena Bulatova and Vice Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Affairs (International Cooperation), Professor Mykola Trofymenko. They discussed perspective lines of economic development for Mariupol and Donetsk oblast, the role of Mariupol State University in this process and further mutual cooperation in the field of education, science and culture.
Shari Bistransky (Cultural Affairs Officer of the Embassy of the USA to Ukraine) and the Head of the Information Resource Center Valentina Pashkova discussed the issue of information exchange with the Head of Scientific Library of Mariupol State University Alla Shakula.
Shari Bistransky noted that the decision to cooperate with Mariupol State University was made under the influence of positive feedback given by Ambassador of the USA to Ukraine Mr. Geoffrey Pyatt, who visited University on April 29, 2016.
