Peaceful life before a full-scale war remains only in memories, but it still makes itself felt now. In early February, participants of the “Tallent” theater and music group presented Mariupol State University at the II International Festival-competition of trainee and student creativity “Competition for the new life!».

MSU youth took part in three categories – recitation, audiovisual work and vocals. The participants of the theater and music group managed to convey the melancholy, sadness, fear, joy and love that permeate the work of the outstanding Ukrainian writer Lesya Ukrainka.

Students Sofiia Shutenko and Anastasiia Mikhnieva were awarded first-degree diplomas for their masterful performance of the poems "Iphigenia in Taurida" and "The Last Song of Mary Stuart". After reading the lyrics "A Midsummer Night's dream" and "To my piano", Yelyzaveta Kulihina and Elena Holova took the third place.

In the category of audiovisual work, student Maksym Filipov and graduate instructor in organizational and cultural work of the Center for Social and Educational work of Mariupol State University Kristina Bahaieva received an award for the first place taken. They presented the judges with an audio performance of the work "Farewell".

In the third category, Mariupol University was represented by students Anhelina Dotsenko, Andrii Honcharenko and Vladyslav Synieok. Young people masterfully performed a song based on the poem "The Last flowers".
