Professor Mykola Trofymenko was appointed Rector of Mariupol State University. Since December 24, he will officially hold the position of head of the University for the next five years. The head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet signed the corresponding order.

On November 4, the University held elections for the Rector of Mariupol State University. According to the results, the majority of voters supported Mykola Valeriiovych. The university community approved his election program and expressed full support for its implementation.
 

With such a team of professionals, such as professors and employees of the University, active and progressive youth, such as our students, I am sure that in five years MSU will have great achievements and become one of the leading universities in the Donetsk region having such a team of professionals, such as professors and employees of the University, active and progressive youth, such as our students.

Mykola Trofymenko's professional development is closely connected with Mariupol university. Within its walls, he got a higher education, found his vocation as a scientist and diplomat. While still a master's student, Mykola Trofymenko became the head of the International Relations Department of Mariupol State University, and after 9 years he held the position of Vice - Rector for international relations.
