From March until June 2018, the Research Center "Progress" hosted the International Competition for Student Economics Research at the premises of Comrat State University (Republic of Moldova).
At the prestigious competition Mariupol State University was represented by students majoring in "International Economics" Valeriia Gnidina, Iryna Ivanova, Olga Shkurat, Dariia Larina and Polina Bondarenko. Student articles were reviewed by First Vice-Rector of Mariupol State University, Professor Olena Bulatova, who was a member of the organizing committee.
187 students from 33 educational institutions of Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria and other countries participated in the international competition. First place was taken by students of Mariupol State University Valeriia Gnidina, Iryna Ivanova and Olga Shkurat, second place was taken by Dariia Larina, and third place by Polina Bondarenko. They investigated topical issues of Ukrainian investment activity, cooperation with multinational corporations and international financial organizations.
The administration of the Research Center "Progress" noted the high level of training of participants, whose research advisors were teachers of the Department of Economics and International Economic Relations of Mariupol State University, associate professors Olga Zakharova, Natalia Balabanova, Olga Bezzubchenko and Tamara Nikolenko.
