Mariupol State University signed out a cooperation agreement with Ukrainian Steppe Nature Reserve of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The agreement provides the organization of various types of practices for students of the specialty "Ecology" and the conduct of joint scientific researches.
This year, students will practice at the Stone Graves Nature Reserve, and in the future, at other nature reserves that are part of the USNR NAS of Ukraine.
The Stone Graves Nature Reserve has great natural value. Rare plants listed in the Red Book grow on its territory, and constant scientific work is being conducted to study unique geological and biological processes. During the practice, students and professors of Mariupol State University will study the steppe ecosystems and seasonal changes in natural phenomena together with leading conservation specialists, as well as gain fieldwork experience.
Thus, the university will provide quality training for environmental specialists who will help to preserve the natural diversity of landscapes, the biodiversity of the animal and plant world, maintain the overall ecological balance and ensure background monitoring of the environment.
