The Theory and Practice of Translation Department of Mariupol State University organized a Skype meeting with Megan Lany, a student of the North Carolina State University at Raleigh. Students of the major “Translation (English)” took part in this Skype lecture.
Megan dedicated this class to the periods of American literature such as Renaissance and transcendentalism. Besides, the student mentioned the representatives of philosophical and literary movement of 1820-1830th. Among them, there were her favorite ones namely Herman Melville and Walt Whitman.
Olena Peftieva, Associate professor of the Department exchanged views about aesthetic background and literary and philosophical orientation of US artists of the middle of the 20th century with Megan Lany.
At the end of the meeting students asked Megan about the educational process, examinations and student life in America.
