On June, 6 in the Petrovsyy park there was carried out the resulting seminar for the EURO 2012 volunteers that became the final stage of students’ youth training for volunteers work at the Europe Football Championship. More than 120 students of three higher educational establishments: Mariupol state university, Priazovsiy state technical university and Azov marine institute of Odessa national marine academy took part in the seminar. The organizers of the seminars were Mariupol state university that was determined as the basic one for Mariupol volunteers training, and the Department of family and youth issues of Mariupol city council. The aim of the seminar was the assistance in students’ youth socialization through involvement into socially useful and voluntary activity. The seminar program was very intensive. In the course of the training “Lessons of volunteers’ success”the volunteers of the informational centers, Ministry of Internal affairs, state traffic inspectorate and FRRO that were divided into 13 small groups, participated in the business game “Europe visits us”. The students practiced their communication skills with foreign tourists in English, winded up their brains in the substandard situations’ salvation. Answering the quiz “We’ll explain everything to the guest and we’ll not give him a chance to be lost”, the volunteers solidified their knowledge about their native city. “The volunteer progresses the goal, he knows everything and can do everything” – that was the motto with which the seminar participants exercised the creative task to make the group portrait and Talmud of efficient volunteer, “the volunteer’s chants”. The pleasant surprise for the volunteers was “Small – scale volunteer games” that was a free bowling game. In the second part of the seminar there was organized the presentation of the best creative projects and flash mob “Volunteers’ dances”. “The emblem of the volunteer’s mood” was the title of the last task – the volunteer shared their impressions of the seminar carried out as well as their expectations of further Football Championship. The participants were given the certificates of the EURO 2012 volunteers as a result of the seminar. | |
