The students of MSU got acquainted with the contemporary art of Germany at the DAAD seminar

From May 17th till May 20th, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) conducted a DEUTSCHLAND-AKADEMIE training session for German language teachers and students.

More than 70 participants from 19 cities of Ukraine were gathered in Lutsk to deepen their knowledge of German language and culture. Mariupol State University was represented by the 3rd student majoring in Language and Literature (German) Ksenia Zabirko and Master degree student majoring in Secondary Education. Language and Literature (German) Oleksandra Kostyts and Svitlana Vozniuk.

 

Workshops were attended by DAAD lecturers Antie Sommerfeld (Minsk), Michael Beck (Lviv), Karsten Grunwaldt (Sumy), Olaf Mittelstraß (Dnipro), language assistant Davina Natali Lang (Lviv) and referents Olga Dzykovych and Oksana Turysheva (Kyiv).

 

During three days, students discussed issues related to the present of Germany, German language and culture. The participants of the seminar got acquainted with German contemporary art, learned about German minorities in Ukraine, as well as about opportunities for studying and conducting research in Germany.
