Education as a point of development of the country: MSU rector Mykola Trofymenko visited Uzbekistan as part of the Ukrainian delegation

A Ukrainian delegation of educators headed by the Minister of education and science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet paid a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan. 13 heads of higher education institutions, including the rector of Mariupol State University, professor Mykola Trofymenko, went to the Central Asian country.

On the first day, educators took part in the round table "Prospects for cooperation between higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ukraine" and the INNO Technopark, where they had the opportunity to get acquainted with startup projects of young people of Uzbekistan, as well as joined the Forum of rectors of Ukrainian and Uzbek universities. The participants discussed opportunities for international cooperation in the field of education: exchange of teachers and conducting scientific research.

Mariupol State University Rector Mykola Trofymenko signed a cooperation agreement with the rector of Samarkand State University Rustat Khalmuradov. The signing took place during a meeting of the Ukrainian delegation with the heads of universities in the Samarkand region.

The university is a well-known classical institution of higher education and is popular not only among young people of Uzbekistan, but also in many countries of the world. The heads of classical universities agreed to join forces and Exchange best practices for the implementation of international cooperation in the educational and scientific field.

For us, the agreement opens up a promising region – Central Asia. Uzbekistan is now demonstrating the purposeful development of higher education, and we have a lot to learn from our Uzbek partners: they have high salaries, a lot of research areas and experience in cooperation with foreign countries. The prospect of learning the languages of the Asian region is very important for us: Parsi, Chinese, and Japanese.

Also, it should be noted that during the working trip, the heads of Ukrainian universities had the opportunity to establish contacts, which also opens up new areas of cooperation within the country.
