Erasmus+ project: MSU teachers visited the Polish University and discussed current issues of journalistic education

The teachers of Mariupol State University visited the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan within the framework of the Erasmus+ project "Journalistic education for democracy in Ukraine: standards development, integrity and professionalism (DESTIN)" funded by the European Union.

The dean of the Faculty of Philology and Mass Communications of MSU, Professor Svitlana Bezchotnikova, head of the Social Communications Department, Professor Tetiana Ivanova and Associate Professor Iryna Vialkova joined the discussion of pressing issues of journalistic education, which was held with the participation of representatives of universities and professional organizations from the UK, Poland and Ukraine.


During the week, the participants of the project got familiarized with the principles of organizing educational process and methods of teaching journalistic disciplines in the Polish University, studied experience of cooperation with employers and activities of student media.


Besides, as part of the project, MSU teachers took part in the International conference "The Future and Identity of Journalism – Horizons, Prospects, Challenges", which was held at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. During the forum, changes in the field of journalistic education in the era of digital communication were discussed.
