This week students of the preparatory department of Mariupol State University learned about the history of Mariupol. An excursion of the city for foreign citizens from Hungary, Cameroon and Bangladesh was conducted by Associate Professor of the Department of History Vadim Korobka. Valeriia Ivaniuk, deputy head of the International Relations Office, translated for the students to English.

Students were able to look through the pages of the history of Mariupol by visiting the old districts of the city. Participants of the event learned interesting facts about the arrangement of the Cossack community in Azov territories, the development of industry in the region and the history of the main historical monuments of the city.

The tour attracted attention of foreign students who asked a lot of questions and made photos. A number of excursions of Mariupol and the main enterprises of the city for foreign students and university students are planned in the future.
