Foreign students of the Mariupol State University visited the local history museum
On April 23d, students of the preparatory department of Mariupol State University visited Mariupol Museum of Local History. Diana Shebanits, Director of the Center of Pre-University Training and Work with Foreign Students and Serhii Pakhomenko, Associate Professor of the Center organized the event for foreign citizens.
An excursion to the museum was conducted by the head of the department of scientific and educational work and the graduate of Mariupol State University majoring in History Oleksandr Gore. The staff member of International Relations Office of Mariupol State University Anna Yurkina carried out the translation into French.
Flora and fauna of the Azov region, household items of Mariupol people at the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries, in particular the voting chest, the gramophone, and the clothes of people of that time were of particular interest for foreign citizens. The students asked the question both during the tour and after it was completed.
Excursions to the Local History Museum for foreign students of Mariupol State University became a good tradition, as an introduction to the history of the country and the region of stay is one of the tools of cultural adaptation of foreigners.
