Mariupol State University continues to develop cooperation with territorial bodies of state structures. On February 4th, employees of the state enterprise "Mariupol Commercial Sea port" headed by acting director Ihor Barskykh visited the University.
The guests met with the Rector of Mariupol State University, Professor Mykola Trofymenko, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, associate professor Tetiana Marena and the Dean of the Economy and Law Department, professor Roman Tolpezhnikov. It is pleasing to note that the event was attended among the representatives of the port by graduates of Mariupol University who hold high positions at the enterprise.
Within the meeting, a partnership and cooperation agreement was signed between the University of Mariupol and the Port of Mariupol. Among the main tasks of cooperation are holding joint events, in particular seminars, round tables, master classes, trainings and conferences, creating innovative projects, and exchanging practical experience.
Mariupol State University is the first University in the Donetsk region with which the Mariupol Commercial Sea port has signed an agreement and begun comprehensive cooperation. According to the Rector of Mariupol State University Mykola Trofymenko, this agreement will open up new opportunities for university students who will have an internship at the enterprise with further employment prospects.
Employees of the Mariupol Port will be able to improve their skills in courses and the level of proficiency in Ukrainian and English during seminars from leading university professors.
Mariupol is a Sea city, and the Mariupol Port is a city-forming enterprise city`s pride. Together, we plan not only to conduct events and scientific research, but also to implement serious projects, in particular international ones. Cooperation will mark the beginning of mutual development, which we will seal on paper today. The university will support the development of the port's Human Resources Potential, which in turn will support the professional development of our students,
