Olena Peftiieva, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation at Mariupol State University, has joined the Erasmus + International Credit Mobility Program for the second time. This summer, the professor took part in the International Summer School of the University of La Coruña (Spain).

Due to the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 Summer School was held online.

Olena Peftiieva passed the competitive selection to participate in the School. At the first stage, an expert commission, which included authoritative specialists from a Spanish university, considered the proposed plan for teaching the course "Discursive Analysis", an assessment system and a video describing the discipline. After that, a new discipline was offered to students who chose the most interesting or similar to their majors subjects among 31 courses.

"Discursive analysis" is designed for professionals in various fields: lawyers, historians, businessmen, physicians and others. Sociology student Pragati Gupta from the University of Delhi was interested in the course. Upon completion of her studies, the girl defended her individual work using discursive analysis and received six ECTS credits that will help her obtain a university degree.

Discursive analysis" aims to master the methodology of analysis of media texts. It helps to read between the lines, perceive the hidden message, allows readers to resist biased information, recognize subjectivity, strengthen critical thinking and draw their own conclusions,
