On September 21, lecturers of the Department of Pedagogy and Education of Mariupol State University and students majoring in "Primary Education" listened to a series of open online lectures by scientists from the University of Western Macedonia on "Methods of teaching oral skills".

Director of the Greek Language Institute, Professor Eleni Griva acquainted the audience with the methodology of teaching language skills. In turn, the primary school teacher, doctoral researcher Spyridon Buras spoke about the development of oral speech and teaching methods in the modern educational process, and teacher, postdoctoral researcher Elena Korosida dedicated her report to the topic of educational tools to improve listening and speaking.

The participants of the online meeting discussed the issues of polytheism of the future teacher, methods of activating the attention of students and the practice of organizing a multicultural learning environment. The speakers also illustrated the game technology of learning in language lessons for children of primary school age in the context of digitalization.
 

The lectures were full of knowledge; we learned a lot of about the methods of teaching a foreign language for beginners. It was interesting to hear the educators of the Greek university, because in our specialty, we study Modern Greek and these meetings have become a good language practice. We know that a number of such lectures are planned ahead and we hope that this year we will be able to meet with speakers at our university,

The Department of Pedagogy and Education of MSU has been cooperating with the University of Western Macedonia for the fourth year in a row. Lecturers of both universities hold joint events, act as consultants for qualification works. They are members of scientific and organizational committees of conferences, seminars and round tables, compile joint textbooks and manuals, participate in academic mobility programs. Mariupol University plans continuation of partnerships development with foreign colleagues to implement common educational and research initiatives.
