Folk Dance Ensemble "Promin" of Mariupol State University took part in the III International Festival of Retro Culture “Retro Hit Parade”.
The festival was held online with the support of “Community center Izgrev” of Bulgaria, the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the Public Union “Association of National Minorities of the Donetsk Region “Spivdruzhnist” and the Federation of the Greek Societies of Ukraine.
The Mariupol State University dance team, led by artistic directors Anastasiia Tokhtar and Oleksandr Kabanov, presented a new performance from their repertoire, “Poltava Cossack”, in the “Folk Dance” category.
We were preparing a performance for 8 March. This dance is the embodiment of femininity and beauty, so it is performed only by female members of the ensemble, which makes it different from other performances in the group. The girls have been diligently preparing for the premiere, learning the choreography for a month and perfecting the difficult elements. All this in order to give the audience a spectacular Ukrainian dance,
– Anastasiia Tokhtar.
According to the results of the III International Festival of Retro Culture "Retro Hit Parade" the Folk Dance Ensemble "Promin" of Mariupol State University received the Grand Prix.
Congratulations to the team on their victory and we wish them further creative success!
