Vocal Studio "Soprano" of Mariupol State University participated in the III International Festival of Retro Culture “Retro Hit Parade”. As last year, MSU's creative young people demonstrated vivid vocal skills, which were praised by a professional jury.

The festival was organised with the support of “Community center Izgrev” of Bulgaria, the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the Public Union "Association of National Minorities of the Donetsk Region "Spivdruzhnist" and the Federation of the Greek Societies of Ukraine.

The Mariupol State University creative team, led by director Anna Shybaieva, vied for victory in the category “Ensemble singing”. Folk singing”. The vocalists presented two performances to the jury - Ukrainian folk songs "A Ya Chorniava" (“And I am black-haired”) and “Sontse Nyzenko” (“Sun is low”).

Diana Kryvoshapko, jury chairman, honoured worker of variety arts of Ukraine, teacher and instructor of the highest category of Mariupol College of Art, noted the high level of performers of MSU and urged not to stop at their achievements.
