Professor Dima Zicer – a well known Israeli scientist and Director of Institute of Informal Education – shared his experience with MSU
On February 13th Mariupol State University was visited by Nelly Shulman – Consul General of the State of Israel and Director of Israeli Culture Center in Dnepropetrovsk – and Dima Zicer – a well-known Israeli scientist, Director of Institute of Informal Education, Doctor of Pedagogy and Professor. The guests got familiarized with the activities carried out by Israeli Culture Center and met MSU students and administration.
Dima Zicer is a well-known educator, the founder and the director of Institute of Informal Education of Israel, the author and the coordinator of education-minded curricula in Russia, Israel and the USA. His research is placed at the intersection of the art of acting, psychology and pedagogy.
Mr. Zicer specializes in teacher training. He also provides and disseminates the humanistic approach to education. At the time of his visit to MDU, the experienced practitioner shared his experience in the field of pedagogy and psychology with the students. He gave a lecture to the prospective philologists, teachers and psychologists "Psychology of modern education. Modern pedagogical art”.
The visit of Dima Zicer took place by the initiative of Nelly Shulman – Consul General of thr State of Israel in Dnepropetrovsk – who had more than once visited Mariupol State University. Accentuating the interest the University’s students and instructors take in the language, the history and the culture of Israel, Mrs. Shulman promised to promote the development of business and friendly cooperation between MSU and the State of Israel, which means many other interesting introductions with scientists, politicians, journalists and public leaders of Israel.
This cooperation project immediately started to be implemented. Last November Aaron Moonblit – Director General of Congress of Russian-Speaking Journalists of Israel – gave a lecture to MSU students. Three months later Dima Zicer – Director of Institute of Informal Education – paid his visit. In introducing the guest, Nelly Shulman emphasized that he works with many pedagogy-minded organizations, beginning with schools and finishing with NGOs. He also holds training sessions and seminars.
After the lecture, Nelly Shulman – Consul General of the State of Israel in Dnepropetrovsk, Professor Dima Zicer – Director of Institute of Informal Education – and Professor Konstantin Balabanov – Rector of Mariupol State University – discussed the cooperation prospects of Mariupol State University and Institute of Informal Education of Israel.
