Last week Mariupol State University hosted lectures by Researcher and Team Leader at the Institute for International Legal Studies (ISGI) of the National Research Council of Italy, Professor Gianfranco Tamburelli. The lectures were attended by the students of specialty "Law" and "International Relations". The visit of a famous scientist, professor of the University of Rome "La Sapienza" took place under the auspices of the Institute of Italian Culture in Ukraine and the Italian Cultural Center of Mariupol State University. Gianfranco Tamburelli is a lawyer with wealth experience in International and European Environmental Law and its implementation at the national level, especially in the field of relations between Italy and the EU, in particular, with Eastern Europe countries. He is an editor and co-author of 9 books, the author of more than 60 articles, reviews and comments on judicial decisions. Moreover, Mr. Tamburelli is a member of numerous organizations which activities are related with the environment protection and its legal aspects. Italian scholar delivered lectures on the following topics: "The Association Agreement EU - Ukraine", "Current Trends in International Environmental Law" and "Food Aid to Conflict Affected Populations: Issues and Priorities" for future lawyers and diplomats. Professor Tamburelli spoke native Italian language while meeting with students of the specialty "Language and Literature (Italian)" and other students who study Italian as a second or third foreign language. Therefore, young people had the opportunity to have speaking practice while communicating with native speaker. "The EU in the face of new and old challenges" β this was the topic of a lecture within the framework of which Mr. Tamburelli asked students about the knowledge of the European countries, as well as their knowledge of the EU and its main achievements over the years of its existence. | |
