In July, 2015 the Associate Professor of the International Relations and Foreign Policy Department of MSU, PhD (political science) Serhii Pakhomenko held series of meetings with officers of the Embassy of Ukraine to the Republic of Slovenia, Slavonian journalists and leaders of Ukrainian society.
The instructor from Mariupol has delivered lectures on the themes of Ukrainian nationhood, the current situation in Ukraine, causes and process of military conflict in Donbass region. Today, Ukrainian diaspora in Slovenia leads active social and cultural life, actively supports migrants from Eastern Ukraine as well as organizes medical care process in Slovenia for military men who took part in anti-terrorist operation. Moreover, Serhii Pakhomenko visited Croatia where he held a meeting with journalist from leading Croatian media and gave «Vecernij list» newspaper and «H-Alter» political news portal interviews. Therefore, MSU’s scholars are taking part in distributing information which contributes to better understanding of the situation in the east for foreign partners of Ukraine and at the same time strengthening university’s international relations. | |
