On April 20th, Mariupol State University held a ceremony of awarding the title of Honorary Professor of Mariupol State University to the director of the Anastasios G. Levendis Foundation, Professor Charalambos Bakirdzis. The visit of a foreign guest was dedicated to the 2nd stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Modern Greek and Literature, which traditionally takes place at the premises of Mariupol State University under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Essays and stories written by students majoring in "Translation (Modern Greek)" of Mariupol State University were published in the popular Cypriot fiction literature magazine "Anef".

Works by Nataliia Nikiforenko, Hanna Boitsova and Vadim Pokoreiev were approved by the editorial board of the magazine and were offered to continue cooperation as authors of fiction literature and translators of national prose and poetry to Modern Greek. On March 29th, Mariupol State University was visited by the head of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Mariupol Terje Skjølsvik. Mr. Skjølsvik met with rector of Mariupol State University, Professor, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Cyprus in Mariupol, Kostyantyn Balabanov, and Vice-rector for international relations, Professor Mykola Trofimenko. On February 20th, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic Terens Quick visited Mariupol State University. The honorable guest was accompanied by Consul General of Greece in Mariupol Elena Gergopoulou, chairwoman of the Federation of Greek Communities of Ukraine Alexandra Protsenko -Pichadzhy. This was not the first visit of Mr. Terens Quick to Mariupol State University.
